BEING CONSTRUCTED
Introduction
Forget reading the rest of this site. Forget the potions, tablets, contraptions, herbal remedies, lasers, systems, etc, etc.
Come on men, lets go bald gracefully!
Okay that's easy to say when you are bombarded with persuasive marketing
backed by seemingly concrete scientific evidence that presumes you can
go from Kojak to a Beatle's
Mop Top in a few months! Add to that, social pressure about needing to
have a full barnet fair to be able to score with beautiful chicks (and
men), drive
fast cars, earn loads of money and be successful in politics - then you
are left with despairing men all over the world staying indoors, daily
checking bald spots, and not getting on with life. When they do go out,
they are confronted by friends, work colleagues and strangers and
generally naturally full headed hair people, who want to let you know
that you are going bald or are in fact a dome head, as if they are
performing some kind of public service on behalf of the Ministry Of The
Bleedin Obvious.
History and Society
Baldies are up against it here,
but it's changing. As human beings our hair appears to be our
identity. Any description of a person will invariably include some
mention of their hair. He had, "long, short, dark, blond, or grey.....,"
etc. We are known to others, at least in part, by our hair style, or
lack of it and hair length and colour.
Even though many men simply shrug it
off as a natural part of getting older, the amount of hair on a person's
head has a lot to do with how they are viewed by others. In general, men
with less hair are thought of as being older and less virile than those
with a full head of hair. Current studies show for now that, balding men
are less likely to receive job promotions or pay raises and are often
considered not as capable of handling difficult assignments. They can be
overlooked in groups where others have hair. The only bald man to be
elected president of the United States in anyone's memory was Dwight
Eisenhower. In the United Kingdom, the last follically challenged Prime
Minister was Sir Winston Churchill in 1940
The Good News
Stop holding mirrors behind your head, you my be pleasantly surprised how many
women are turned on by confident bald men. Lately, there has been a noticeable
shift from females of all ages, about what makes a man sexy. They've
secretly known for ages that hair doesn't maketh the man. Women
(and gay men) definitely prefer a man that embraces his hair loss rather
than hiding it with a gravity defying comb over, cheap rug or poor
transplant.
It's natural. Think about it, if a woman is obsessed with dating a man
with a full head of hair, then surely she could be classed as shallow.
Certainly she may be completely mistaken because her current hairy lover
could later end up bald anyway. So bald men could be said to be spontaneously
filtering out these shallow women!
Practicalities
If you have just a few strands on top, don't do the Bobby Charlton
comb over! You look silly! Trust me, if you don't do one thing - make it
this one. Shave your head on top, it looks much better
and neater. If you are thinning or bald on top, don't let your hair grow
thick on the sides. It will look much better keeping it cut short
to give you that clean-cut look. Consider growing a mustache or
goatee to draw attention to your face. Make it a part of who you are rather than trying to hide it.

Once you get to grips to what is going
on consider just shaving the area clean. For some this is a great
idea. The whole “clean-shaven look” appears better on some than others. Confidence
has lots to do with pulling this look off, too. No matter what is on
your head, confidence is always going to be a large consideration in how
others view you. Letting the hair do as it may is another option. After
all, plenty of guys do it for one reason or another. Some contend that
hair just isn’t important enough to worry too much about. Some just
don’t want to deal with the hassle of finding the “right” hair
loss treatments that are available. Men with larger, more muscular builds tend to get away with it
better than thinner guys. Also, it seems to suit men with darker skin tones.
