Interesting

Recent articles show that long distance runners have lower testosterone levels. Testosterone converts through to DHT which is implicated in hair loss. On the other hand, stress has been shown to increase testosterone - if you are going to run regularly, slowly build up to it and do not stress the body.

Exercise for the scalp

It is said, exercising the scalp can prevent hair loss. You can try massaging the scalp with the fingers. It is claimed this will feed the roots of the hair with nutrients and increase blood circulation. In addition to all this, it is extremely relaxing, calming, and helps relieve headaches and migraines.

There are many unsubstantiated theories regarding scalp massage and its benefits. Our opinion is to give it a go and see if it benefits you! We have not heard of any damaging effects. It is claimed that the scalp may be suffused with blood after five minutes of the scalp exercise and that there is lymph fluid and quicker blood flow into the area. This may flush out metabolic waste products and any inflammation around the follicles can be eliminated. It is also claimed that the growth cycle of the hair is increased and more hairs are retained.

How to Massage your scalp

Start from the forehead hairline and the start of your hair at the side, and back of the head. Make small circles with your fingertips. Do NOT use your nails. Work your way toward the top of the head as if drawing a circle. Repeat until about 10 minutes has elapsed. You could try this once in the morning and once in the afternoon.
